Operating within the City of Edinburgh , we cater for housebound people who are unable to attend a Physiotherapy Clinic as an out patient. Patients can be referred to us by various people, including GP’s, Social Workers, community Occupational Therapists, hospital Physiotherapists or any other health professional who is involved with the patient’s care. A wide variety of conditions can be seen in the home, ranging from musculo-skeletal injuries and fractures to Multiple Sclerosis and chest infections.

Waiting times can vary, but we aim to see urgent referrals (for example chest infections and people at risk of falls) within 2 days. We aim to see other injuries and people recently home from hospital in approximately 10 days. Physiotherapy for longer term problems and other ongoing issues may wait for 3 -6 weeks.
